UK Madden League is a brand new company who aims to bring high level competition for lovers of the NFL and EA's Madden series based in the United Kingdom. The growth in popularity of American Football in the UK in recent years has been astounding, especially with the addition of the international series. UK Madden League will provide in depth Madden gameplay for users to enjoy and aims to become the go to platform for UK Madden lovers to get some games in against like minded people.
We were commissioned to create a website that had a clean and professional feel, the key behind the brief was easy navigation. A simple navigation bar which directed users quickly to the information that they required.
We were also asked to create a blog section so the company could keep service users up to date on the latest league going on and tournament results etc. We also installed a Content Management System to allow the UK Madden League team to edit and update the website with ease.
stage one - the ground work
The inspiration behind the websites colour scheme was taken from the popular NFL show 'RedZone' the guys behind UK Madden League wanted to give the site a similar feel and the colour scheme we used allowed us to create a clean look without compromising on the professional feel of the website itself.
STAGE TWo - the build
With the focus of the site being information and content we realised that the website wouldn't truly reach its potential until we handed over the keys to the UK Madden League team so the build was very basic in terms of creating a framework and basically a template that could be followed easily on our drag and drop Content Management System.
We sourced photography from various sources around the NFL to create the base look and integrated a blog system as briefed. We then worked with the client to bulk out the content for release.
stage three - the finished article
The final release version of the website is simple but effective. A clean and fairly minimal design coupled with the blog style news feed allows the client to take a simple yet well produced product and move forward with it to suit their needs. We had a great time explaining the CMS to them and we look forward to seeing the website grow from here.
