Acorn Home & Garden Services is a local family run business that specialises in building and landscaping work within South Derbyshire and surrounding areas. With over 25 years of experience in the industry Acorn Home & Garden Services has the ability and the expertise to take on any work, both domestic and commercial. They also offer free quotes with absolutely no obligations.
Visinatus were commissioned to create an information based website to take Acorn Home & Garden Services in to the age of the internet. The client had a previous website but they were not happy with the maintenance schedule and delays when adding new gallery images. The client also felt that their previous website didn't stand out from the crowd, they wanted something that would showcase their work in a vibrant manner.
Stage 1 - The Ground Work
In order to maintain brand continuity we used Acorn's original Colour Palette consisting of a yellow and blue theme. These colours were used as the base to create the vibrant website the client was looking for. The Typography was also an important factor of our creation, needing to be hard hitting but clean, and after going through a few options we found the perfect balance.
Stage 2 - The Build
After the colour palette and typography had been decided, it was time to move on to the website's build. The main purpose of the site is information. Acorn wanted to not only showcase their previous work to prospective customers but ensure that they can get in touch with Acorn easily and efficiently. We built image slideshows to showcase Acorns previous work, as well as advertisement images to showcase a new service that they now offer.
Stage 3 - The Finished Article
The Final build of the Acorn Home & Garden Services website is complete. The website's main features are its vibrant back drop, previous work showcase in the form of an image slider and a fully operational gallery. Built in form plugins allow customers to make easy initial contact with Acorn and a custom CMS allows Acorn to upload their own images to the gallery page using a handy drag and drop system.
